Interactive Presentation Award (PC Recommendation), INTERACTION 2025

Junichi Nagasawa’s presentation, “Exploring the Introduction of a Saliency-Map Method for Gaze-Based Personal Identification,” proposed a new approach that applies saliency maps—representations of visually salient regions in images—to personal identification.

The study highlights the potential for more advanced identification methods that balance usability and security.

At INTERACTION 2025, 275 interactive submissions were reviewed, and the top 45 (based on Program Committee scores) were selected as Premium Presentations. From those Premium Presentations, this work received the Interactive Presentation Award (PC Recommendation) after on-site roundtable evaluation by the Chief Program Committee.
